Vacation in Vegas and Arizona
If you follow me on Instagram you probably noticed that I was a little MIA last week. At first I thought I would document my first trip to both Vegas and Arizona all over social media, but we constantly on the go and it was kind of nice to just relax and spend time with my husband and his family. After a week off from pretty much everything I feel very refreshed and ready to take on the rest of the year. Since I really didn't document a whole lot of my trip I thought I would tell you guys a little bit about each place.
Vegas
This was my very first time to Vegas (gasp!). I never really got the opportunity to go while I was in college so my husband thought it would be fun to take me for a couple of days before driving to Arizona to see his family. We stayed at New York New York which is such a cool place, but we said that if were to go back we would probably stay at Mirage because it is more at the center of the strip. Two things really surprised me about Vegas. The first was how much walking we did. We were there for 2 days and I got in so many steps both days just walking to see all of the hotels and casinos. The second thing that was very surprising to me was how many homeless people there were. I guess this shouldn't surprise me since it is a bigger city, but it just made me a little sad. Here are some things that we did while we were there.
-Walked the strip on both sides
-Went to see a Cirque Du Solie show
-Gambled ( a little)
-Went shopping
-Went to Old Vegas
-Went to the fountain show
If you every find yourself in Vegas I would suggest that you do all of these things. In my opinion they are all a part of the experience.
Arizona
My husband's parents and grandparents live in Prescott, AZ so we spent a few days. This was the first time I had been to Arizona as well. I was very surprised how cold it was in Prescott because when I think of Arizona I think really hot. When we finally got there we didn't have too much time and we were pretty exhausted from the previous 2 days so we didn't do a whole lot, but it was great to relax and spend time with family. If you are ever in this part of Arizona I would suggest going mountain biking. There are so many trails there and the scenery is so beautiful.
What are some places that you have never traveled before, but are on your bucket list?
