My 5 Favorite Christmas Decorations
If you know me you know that I love Christmas. I have already watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas 2 times and plan on watching it at least once a week until Christmas. I just love everything about Christmas, but one of my favorite things is putting up all the Christmas decorations. It just makes the house seem so warm and cozy.
Every year I try and convince my husband that we need more Christmas decorations and most of the time he will let me get a few. So, some of my favorite decorations are old, but some of them I just got this year and I am in love with them.
So, here they are:
1. My town-Growing up I always wanted a little Christmas town, but we never really had one until I was a little bit older. When I was in middle school my mom started to buy my sisters and I a town piece or two for Christmas so that when we moved out we would have pieces for our own town. When I have children I wanted to do the same thing because I just love everything about my town.
2. Christmas deer: Lately I have been in a deer home décor phase. When I say phase I mean I probably have around 4 or 5 deer up at my house right now, but the ones below are my favorite because they are just so pretty. My mother-in-law just got these for me and when I opened the boxes I was jumping up and down because I was so excited. Now my husband keeps telling me that all my deer are males because they have antlers, but I like to pretend that the one laying down is a female.
3. Big Red Glitter Ornaments: I don't have a huge reason why I love these ones so much. I just do.
4. All of our stockings: If you would have asked me before I got married I would have told you that I wanted my whole family to have matching stockings and matching stocking holders, but once I was married I realized one that I married a man that likes to pick out his own stocking and two stocking can show so much about your personality and that's why I love them.
5. My Who-Tree: Now if you remember I said that I have already watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas 2 times and I planned on watching it more. This tree has always reminded me of the tree that the Whose have down in Whoville. So of course I display it proudly. The reason that I love How the Grinch Stole Christmas so much is because we would always watch it at my grandparents house on Christmas Day. Since both of them have passed I love to watch it and remember those special times with them. That is the biggest reason this tree means so much to me.
