Getting Back on Track
It's two months into the year who would have thought that we all could have gotten off track this quickly. If you are like me you are probably thinking this about those new years resolution goals that you set. How could this happen? This was supposed to be our year, but once again things got in the way and we lost sight of what we really wanted to accomplish this you. Don't fret it happens, the key....don't let that stop you!
We live in a world where it is so easy to give up on things and not think about them again. We need to reprogram our minds when things like this happen, but how do we do that. How do we get back on track? Well, here are some things that I have found to help me get back on track.
Refocus: Sit yourself down and look at the goals you had originally set. Remember why you set those goals and think about how you would feel if you didn't accomplish those goals.
Reassess: Look at your goals again and think about the last two months why was it so easy to give up on those goals. Were they not attainable? Did you think you would have more time?
Readjust: Sometimes after we refocus and reassess we realize that maybe we need to adjust either our goals or how we go about reaching those goals.
Doing these three things should help you get back on track. Don't feel like if you have to readjust or redo your goals that you are a failure. You are far from it because you are taking the time to still go after those goals after getting off track.
