The Basic Summer Staple

It is May and in Indy that means it's racing season and everyone is counting down the days until the Indy 500. Me on the other look at May as the start of wedding season (I LOVE weddings) and the time where I can hopefully start to bring out some of my summer/spring clothes. One of my absolute favorite items to get out of storage is the ever so popular and simple sun dress. It is a favorite among all. I mean what is not to love about a comfort dress? The best part about it is the fact that you can do so much with it. Here are just a few ways that I like to style my sun dresses.
1. Casual: Pair your favorite sun dress with a pair of casual flats or in my case I put my favorite quilted shoes with them. The only other thing I would add would be a cute wristlet.
2. Night out: If you and the girls are heading out for a night on the town then why not throw on something that is comfortable. Take your sun dress and pair it with a leather jacket (if it is a little chilly) and add some chunky jewelry. Finish off the look with your favorite wedges and clutch.
3. Work Attire: You may think that the sun dress is too casual to wear to work, but that's the great thing you can dress it up. If you pair your sun dress with a cute cardigan, some more subtle jewelry and finish it off with a pair of heels and your purse then you have a work approved outfit.
